Thank you so much, Cheryl, for taking the time to tell me this. This is my favourite kind of writing and this is one of my favourite pieces ever. It spilled out of me one day at the keyboard and left me crying, not knowing where it had come from. I'm so glad you took the time to check it out because it reminds me of why I built this blog. I'm not a natural blogger in that I can't write pieces like this every day, if you know what I mean. I love the connection in blogging, the dialogues in the boxes, but this is the kind of piece I long to write and reach the world with.

My daughter stuns me speechless - and that takes a lot, as you've probably guessed by now! I'm encouraging her to make me some MP3's so I can put clips of her singing on my blog. She also writes. My piece Sharing the Journey is about the torment I had when we had to help her with her exam subject choices. In the end, the universe made it possible for her to do music, art, drama and English - with no column clashes.

I've had a weird day today, wondering if I even did the right thing building a blog, but this comment has helped restore my faith, and my determination to keep writing in the way that the universe intends me to. Thank you!
