What can I say - you made me able to relax enough to go and have a healing rest yesterday, knowing that the folk who gifted us with comments would be met by a gracious and friendly barista! I'm not sure if folk believe me when I say this, but the pleasure I get seeing commenters chatting to each other, whether I'm here or not, is what this blog is all about. If this was a real café, the beauty of it being so small is that regulars would have the chance to get to know each other, even if some days all they did was smile silently in recognition. @Sean (Writer Dad), Thank you for being the reason I got to meet Randi, Cindy and a whole host of other people I've since had the chance to learn about and love. @Cindy, I may not be able to afford a holiday this year so I love how blogging lets me explore other parts of the world. I enjoyed your description of the neighbourhood you see through your window at home, and Sean's piece about living in Long Island. Randi's description of the crayon box colours of Iowa and Seattle will stay with me forever. More of those, I say!! I'd love a guest post, please - whenever you have a moment to breathe! @Randi,

It was a magical journey. I don't travel often, but when I do, I love soaking it all in. It's especially fun to travel and see everything through the eyes of my son. This was his first view of an ocean (and my first view in 37 years!) and we were all overwhelmed by the sight of it. It really was pure magic. P.S.
