On Gaining a Day…

by janice on April 3, 2009

I spent all day yesterday thinking it was Friday. So, really, I’ve gained  a day!

It gives me a chance to share the following quotation with you and to thank you for making this first week of  blogging a  joy, whether you are a friend who emailed, a silent reader, a behind the scenes supporter or someone who has taken the time to subscribe or comment.

Holy listening – to “listen” another’s soul into life, into a condition of disclosure and discovery, may be almost the greatest service that any human being ever performs for another. ~ Douglas Steere

A special thanks to Mary Jaksch of Goodlife Zen and Write to Done who gently refused to use my guest post until I had my blog live. She knew I’d meet some inspiring new people if  I waited. And I have. Thank you, Mary!

Now it’s time to wish you a good weekend!

Don’t you love it when you regain a day???? I am happy to know that I am not the only one who loses track of time. Actually, come to think of it, you must be having fun if you thought yesterday was Friday! :)

Have a beautiful weekend!

Thank you, Nadia! (I usually log off on Fridays, but my family has recognised my twitchiness and urged me to log on for a bit while they’re watching a programme I’m not really into!) And it’s a relief to hear that other folk ‘lose’ entire days, too!

I like to think when someone really listens deeply, that it’s a gift they give me.

Great to meet you and to begin reading your blog. Almost like gaining an extra day.

Great to meet you too, Robyn – my kids were psyched when I told them that all kinds of people have visited, brain scientist included!
