Thanks Hilary, I'm only blog-checking and email answering until said daughter gets in from school, so I'm glad I caught your comment in time. Nice to 'see' you again and I hope all's well. My neck and back are hurting already from a few hours back at the laptop so I won't be over to your blog or anyone else's for a wee while yet.

I loved this post. It wasn't actually a post, but an old Coaching Moments article I added to the archives, hence the lack of comments and dialogue. It's actually very timely as tomorrow night, after her exam results and work all year, JD's getting awards for English, Music and Drama and a few other subjects. She put two bands together for a rock gig recently and appeared in several plays for which she made the soundtrack. I think we did the right thing. Thank you for supporting my efforts at the blog; every bit of support I get here contributes to my family's welfare and the children's future by nourishing my spirit. It all gets passed forward.

Hi Janice .. I wrote a lovely comment & it got zapped .. that really depresses me!!! I've started writing in word and copying across .. this time I didn't - & now of course wish I had.

Frustrating - when you take time to write pertinently .. irritating to say the least!

However succinctly .. I am sure your daughter made the right choices .. nothing is set in concrete .. and she has so many opportunities and heartfelt passions to enjoy .. I feel sure she will enjoy her adulthood with her work and her hobbies ..

Her loving and cherishing family will always be there - your lives are intertwined in the peaceful serenity that is family .. a nurturing existence ... a sharing journey .. that's wonderful - a great tribute to your daughter .. but more importantly a memoir for you .. a note to look back on that rings so true in your life ..

Lovely post and a great read .. enjoy this brilliant sunny day - with a hug or two .. Hilary
